Barium nitrate - - — - baric salt of nitric acid, meets in the nature in the form of nitrobarite mineral.

Application:

• For receiving oxide and barium peroxide.
• Component of enamels and glazes.
• In pyrotechnics non-hygroscopic barium nitrate it is widely used for coloring of flame in green color (the majority of compounds of other metals capable of it, are a little suitable because of hygroscopicity).
